Passion for Sarah's Home:
Jeff and his wife have worked with youth for many years in their church and they have a passionate heart for young people. That passion has been concentrated, of late, on young people that are in crisis and have experienced trauma. Sarah's Home is a perfect fit for young people in the process of healing and restoration

Eric had decided to retire from the Police Department in February of 2020 when he was called to serve with David C Cook Publishing Company/Integrity Music. Eric has been appointed as the Senior Advisor to Safety and Security for this International Ministry whose mission is to make disciples throughout the world. Eric is an active member of his church and serves as the Security Director for Living Hope Church.
Passion for Sarah's Home:
As a police officer, I have seen the dysfunction sex trafficking beings to our families and communities. It is an honor to be a part of a God centered organization that is committed to the restoration, life skills training and spirit renewing for His daughters. As a Board member, I desire to serve God’s people as God’s word can transform minds and hearts.
I'm a small-town lawyer at heart. I assist people faced
with mental incapacity or with the death of their loved ones,
and I help small business owners navigate the ins-and-outs of
our increasingly complicated lives. I prefer planning over
panicking, diplomacy over advocacy, realism over idealism, and
mercy over justice. I've been married once, until death do
us part. I’ve decided that following Jesus means blooming
where I’m planted. I love being planted in Colorado. I am
grateful to be serving on the board of Sarah’s Home and Daniel
Academy and having a small part in serving young men and
women coming out of terribly painful circumstances, because
there but for the grace of God go I.
There once was a little boy named Jimmy whose mom told him he could be anything he wanted…a policeman, a doctor, a lawyer, even the President of the United States. I exceeded all her expectations and became a music teacher!
I’m now a grown man with four kids (I married my high school sweetheart) and 8 grandkids. I love eating pizza, mountain biking, spending time with family, and long walks in the mountains holding hands (sorry, I reserve that for only one person, and it’s not you). My shoe size is 9.5 but please don’t send me any shoes…I’ll tell you more about that in a minute.
I teach middle school music at a Title I school, still finding time to speak, write, and podcast.
Now for the boring, adult stuff…
I earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Maine and received my music education from the Army School of Music, graduating from the basic, intermediate, and advanced courses over a span of ten years, serving in Virginia, Japan and Colorado. I retired from the Colorado National Guard in 2006. I earned a teaching license from Western State University in Colorado and completed a master’s in music education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I believe in the value of life-long learning! I just don’t like standardized testing.
My life-long goal continues to be to ACT MY SHOE SIZE, NOT MY AGE
